Ranger on Wheels Plus Slatted Base
The Ranger on Wheels Plus Slatted Base is our Ranger on Wheels with plastic slatted flooring included as standard. It keeps the same sturdy wheels and lifting handles, so the whole house and run can be moved onto fresh ground whenever it is needed, along with the same raised sleeping and nesting area and integrated mesh-covered run, suited to four to six hens.
The slatted base keeps your hens up off the bare ground, so they are not running about on dirty, churned-up grass through the wetter months when the ground turns muddy. Droppings fall through the slats rather than gathering underfoot, which keeps the run drier, cleaner and far less work to maintain over winter.
It suits keepers who want the freedom of a mobile coop with a cleaner, lower-maintenance run all year round, whatever the weather is doing.
