Ranger on Wheels

The Ranger on Wheels is our Ranger Coop fitted with sturdy wheels and lifting handles, so the whole house and run can be moved onto fresh ground whenever it is needed. Rotating the coop around the garden gives your hens clean grass to forage, spreads the wear on the lawn and helps keep the ground underneath in good order. It keeps the same raised sleeping and nesting area and integrated mesh-covered run as the standard Ranger, suited to four to six hens.

It suits keepers who would rather not have one fixed patch turn bare and muddy, and who like the idea of letting the flock work over different areas through the seasons.

Optional plastic slatted flooring panels are also available for keepers who want an even cleaner, lower-maintenance setup. These allow droppings to fall through more easily, and keep the run drier and cleaner during wetter weather.
